Trafford crooner Wayne Devlin is set to join Altrincham based radio station RadioAlty.co.uk with his very own ‘The Wayne Devlin Show’ every Sunday from 10am.
Wayne, a former columnist for the Messenger Newspaper, will be playing the hits from the Great American Songbook that he has been well known for singing himself around the borough for over a decade.
Wayne said: “When I received the British Citizen Award for Services to the Arts I wanted to give something back to the community that was arts related. So when the opportunity came along to have my own radio show I jumped at the chance and I am so proud to be joining such a great team at RadioAlty who all put the community first, which is something I am passionate about.
“My show will be like my newspaper column was except this time I’ll have a soundtrack to accompany it. I will play the music I love, promote local and interview all kinds of interesting guests. I hope you will give my show the same great support that you gave my newspaper column. I can’t wait to have your company for two hours each week.”
Rod Maxwell, RadioAlty station manager and presenter of #theLateLateLunchshow said:‘It’s great to have another talented local person on RadioAlty and someone who not only knows the music he is playing, but sings and performs it as well. All of us at RadioAlty are delighted to welcome Wayne to the station and our listeners will be soon enjoying his genre of music on Sunday mornings from 10am.”
‘The Wayne Devlin Show’ which launches on Sunday 20th November, will be aired each Sunday from 10am to 12pm and will be repeated on Wednesday nights from 11pm – 1am.
