The new 6ft tall BT Hubs will be installed in Altrincham, Sale, and Urmston if Trafford Planning approves the applications.
Millimetre Wave is an intense microwave beam starting out at 27GHz and up to 300GHz means the beams will make humans more conductive according to ICNIRP (International Commission of Non-Ionizing Radio Protection)
If approved the ‘BT Hubs’ will be much like an advertisement board with a big difference, it will have free WiFi, Free calls and we believe those calls will be unlimited, you can call emergency services from a hub.
It is expected once approved the hubs will be in more places in Trafford such as Timperley, Partington Shopping Centre and Stretford possibly Tesco and Lidl.
Millimetre wave is known as ‘Small Cell’ and is very powerful whilst you might think that they are confined to the hub, because they have small cells inside this will give a millimetre 5G signal giving EE customers faster internet access and a signal like they have never had before at a price!
All mobile phone handsets we know about here in the UK have what is known as a ‘Sub 6GHz’ antenna inside which is way slower than if you had one with a millimetre wave antenna inside your phone so even your new iPhone 14 Pro Max or Samsung S22 will not be as fast as you would expect.
The ‘BT hubs’ if approved will be at the following places:
Altrincham
- Pavement opposite side of 4 Regent Road Altrincham
- Pavement opposite side of 112-114a George Street Altrincham
- Pavement opposite side of Holland and Barrett 70 George Street
- Pavement opposite side of Marks & Spencer 53 George Street
Sale
- Pavement opposite side of Boots School Road
- Pavement opposite side of Greggs
- Pavement opposite side of Aldi
Urmston
- Pavement opposite side 17-21 Flixton Road
- Pavement opposite side 9B Crofts Bank Road
If approved this will mean the full roll out of Millimetre Wave 5G will begin and all over the borough, small cells will be planted everywhere, on (not in) lampposts, behind the advertisements in bus shelters, on road signage, in shopping centres, football stadiums and concert venues, hospitals and possibly larger clinics, in schools and parks.
The question is to the public “Do you really need this untested technology?” whilst we cannot see these microwave beams and you may think its alright and other things we can tell you it’s really not good for anyone or our animals.
We have never had Millimetre Wave before and it will be in the eyes of everyone, even worse if you have a 5G phone! even without the millimetre wave antenna, the beams will still hit your 5G handset and how it works is a little creepy also, it follows you where ever you go even in a shop, even when you go to the changing rooms or to a toilet.
This is a technology that had it been tested properly and proven to be safe we would have welcomed, it is incredibly concerning our councillors have not read the ICNIRP guidelines and continue to believe 5G is a safe technology when the real truth is, Its not! which ultimately puts themselves and their children at risk.
