Incident: Police tape off a section on ‘The Avenue’ in Sale

An incident occurred at the junction of The Avenue and Meadway in Sale at around 4pm this afternoon, police have taped of a section of the road.

At the scene police told us that something bad had happened however could not give us any further information, we did not see any cars that could have been involved.

The scene we have been told was taped off at around 4pm this evening and could be like that for a while so people wanting to get to Moss Lane should divert down Wincham Road then turn first right onto Fairway Drive and then on to Meadway which is not taped off at this time.

We have contacted GMP for more information and will update this article when more is known.
