Manchester United have today sacked Cristiano Ronaldo with immediate effect after he appeared on a two part TV programme last week.

The famous number 7 player that has had a very successful career will now have to find a club who will take him on, despite his almost robot like fitness his age will be the biggest obstacle and at 37 his playing days are almost up and the twinkle in his glittery career almost faded.

In the two part TV programme that was on Talk TV with Piers Morgan presenting gave Ronaldo the chance to air his frustrations, he will have known that the club will sack him and his wishes were answered today.

Ronaldo’s second spell at the club started very well however this season its not been so great, with a new manager in charge it seemed Ronaldo did not like his coaching, Ronaldo on the TV show actually went even further by claiming Manchester United had out of date training infrastructure.

The player was surprised to see nothing had changed at Carrington, he though made a nice comment about the cooks at the club, his foot by this time was half out of the door, both feet were out of the door when he was critical of the owners of he club claiming “They don’t care about the club” he was also critical about some of his team mates although kept names out of it, he did though give praise to ex team mate Diego Dalot.

Some fans agreed that it would have been better and more professional of Ronaldo to have just stepped out of United and shook hands and everyone would have been happy! instead he went the other way which won’t damage his status at Manchester United as being one of the best players to have ever worn the famous red shirts.

It though will have been very disappointing to the majority of Manchester United fans that Ronaldo had to bow out in the way he did and now the player has to find a club who will take him on, if he gets to stay in the Premier League he would be very lucky and still night have to sit on the bench something he had a problem with at Unuted.

Will Pep take him on? can you imagine the controversy if he got two years at the etihad? what a shocker that would be after all he nearly joined Manchester City! in the interview with Piers Morgan he did mention he likes Arsenal and that he hoped they will win the Premier League.

It though is more likely that Ronaldo will bow out of professional football in Europe and then on to the MLS in America, after that I don’t think we will have seen the last of Ronaldo in world football, he would indeed make a really good manager but it won’t be at Manchester United

A spokesperson for Manchester United said: “Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.

“The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future.

“Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.”
