Emergency Services responded to calls that a man was seen at the top of Stretford Public Hall and threatened to jump.
A section of Chester Road was closed as specialist police officers helped the man down to safety and we believe is now being looked after by staff at a nearby hospital.
The incident happened earlier this morning and no arrests have been made.
