Walton Park playground upgrade has commenced

Walton Park in Sale is currently having a much needed playground upgrade.

Workmen seen on the site told us that the outgoing seesaw is being replaced with a safer one with a protective surface underneath.

We are also told that new swings are also part of the upgrade.

Work is also on-going in the toddlers playground although it is not yet known what upgrades or additions will be installed.

Other improvements in the pipeline include getting rid of the grass areas around the benches due to the flooding when it rains.

It is expected the new upgrades will be fully usable by the end of the week or in the first half of next week at the latest according to workmen.
