Miller Homes are currently bringing new homes to the region at Varsity Quarter in Northenden and Novus in Stretford, has donated over 100 chocolate selection boxes for local charity, The Mustard Tree’s, Christmas campaign.

The contribution has helped the charity come closer to its target of collecting 1000 boxes by Christmas, which will be distributed to families in need. It’s thought that 1 in 4 children in Greater Manchester are now living in poverty, and since the cost-of-living crisis began the organisation has found that more families than ever are relying on its Community Shops for everyday items. The festive treats will be given out to those in need to help bring them some yuletide cheer during times of hardship.

Laura Burton, Community Fundraising and Events Coordinator at the charity said: “Our Christmas campaign is well underway now, and this generous and kind donation by Miller Homes will really help us towards our end target. It’s great that the company are so supportive of the Greater Manchester region as they build here.”

Clare Noakes, Miller Homes’ Sales Director for the North West, said: “We are creating new communities at Varsity Quarter and Novus, but also feel it important to acknowledge and support the existing ones too. It was great to work with Laura and her team at The Mustard Tree, and we look forward to a good relationship going forward.”

Miller Homes has supported the Greater Manchester community in a number of ways since the launch of its Varsity Quarter and Novus developments. This includes giving away a large donation of arts and crafts to the charity Manchester Young Lives and donating winter warmer packs to the Wythenshawe Community Initiative.
