Miller Homes has launched a competition across its regions to create the best wreath in time for Christmas.
Interior designer Lifestyle Interiors from Manchester have been working hard to produce the ultimate show stopping wreath for a front door. The challenge has been to ensure it clearly conveys a local essence that showcases everything that Manchester is famous for.
The wreath is jam packed with nods to the northern culture, from musical notes and guitars that pay homage to local legends born and bred in the city including Oasis, the Stone Roses, and the Happy Mondays, to the iconic Manchester bee and of course football.
All the wreaths have been decorated to celebrate our local communities and highlight what makes each of the nine regions truly special, from the south of England up to Scotland.
The Manchester wreath is now on proud display at Miller Homes’ Varsity Quarter sales centre before it becomes available to win via a #WinTheWreaths social media competition held by the home builder on its Facebook and Instagram pages. To enter, people simply need to vote for their favourite regional design in order to win that wreath.
And for those not lucky enough to get their hands on this exact Manchester-inspired wreath, Gemma from Lifestyle Interiors has shared her top tips to be able to reproduce this creative knock-out at home:
Those not lucky enough to get their hands on this exact Manchester-inspired wreath, the designer Gemma Schofield of Lifestyle Interiors, has shared some advice and tips on how to create your own.
“We started by making a list of everything that makes Manchester unique, and that of course included music, football and of course the worker bee!” She said.
Gemma adds: “To make a wreath, start with a large frame with plenty of room to fit in little knick knacks and quirky decorations. You can source items from independent craft stores or look online to find bespoke or original pieces. Make sure the wreath is bulked out with foliage first, such as leaves and any flowers you might want to add, before then adding your decorative bits so they really stand out. You can either secure it all down with a hot glue gun, or tie everything together with string or flexible wire.”
Clare Noakes Sales Director for the North West, comments: “With four developments in Greater Manchester, we have great affinity with the people and place. Varsity Quarter is just outside of the city centre, so it was only right this brilliant wreath is displayed there. There are plenty of things about the city to make every Mancunian proud, and we think Gemma’s done a great job of capturing them in a fun and festive way!”
More details will be released on Miller Homes’ Facebook page shortly on how to win the Manchester-themed wreath, for now it can be viewed at the Varsity Quarter sales centre located at Sale Rd, Northenden, Wythenshawe, Manchester M23 0DD.
