Opticians raise money for Trafford South Foodbank

Opticians festive focus on fundraising A FOCUS on fundraising for Trafford South Foodbank has seen festive jumpers become the must-have accessory for an opticians with stores in Altrincham, Sale and Urmston.

Kind-hearted staff from Specsavers in Altrincham, Sale and Urmston have been wearing Christmas jumpers for the whole of December to raise funds.

The teams have also swapped their Secret Santa to help boost the total and hope to raise over £300 for Altrincham-based, Trafford South Foodbank, which aims to stop hunger in the local area.

‘I’m so proud of the team for once again choosing to support such a worthy, local cause and one which particularly resonates in the current climate. Funds raised will go towards much[1]needed grocery supplies and will ultimately help families in need in our communities,’ says Steven Dare, Specsavers Altrincham, Sale and Urmston store director.

Part of a nationwide network for foodbanks, supported by the Trussell Trust, Trafford South Foodbank provides three days’ nutritionally balanced, emergency food and support to local people.
