Lots of people have contacted us about late delivery and poor customer services from courier firm Evri.

The firm who changed its name from Hermes has been slated including from politicians, however the company is dealing with a huge backlog of parcels and are doing everything they can to make sure your parcel arrives before Christmas.

Big named firms like Sports Direct and even Premier League giants Manchester United’s own fan store use Evri whilst many people would like firms to swap to other couriers it is the cost that matters, Evri are way more cost effective but offer a very similar service.

Evri has its faults, the biggest concern is the customer service where you are greeted by a bot, although it tells you the status of your parcel it cannot find out where it is or tell you anything else which is frustrating.

Some people have been claiming they have had parcels lost or allegedly stolen from them, parcels have been left in wrong or weird places by local delivery men/woman.

Having spoken to an Evri delivery driver recently he told us that the Trafford Park Depot is too small, management is dreadful, he also complains about the car park.

We have since read that others are also complaining about management.

An Evri spokesperson said: “We are sorry that some customers in the local area are experiencing short delays in receiving their parcels. This is due to a number of factors including severe weather, Royal Mail strikes and staff shortages. Our local team is working hard to address this and to deliver any delayed parcels in time for Christmas. We thank everyone for their patience and understanding.
