Former footballer Pele (Edson Arantes Do Nascimento) has died aged 82.
The football legend was photographed at a hospital only a day ago looking very unwell, and today 29 December Pele was transferred to end of life care.
He is the best footballer that ever lived and credited with scoring a world record 1,281 goals in 1,363 appearances during a 21-year career, including 77 goals in 92 matches for his country.
Pele won the World Cup three times in his career and was named FIFA player of the century in 2000.
The great man also made an appearance in a film alongside Ricky Tomlinson called ‘Mike Bassett England Manager’
Pele had been suffering with a range of health issues for some time, Pele died from multiple organ failure due to advanced colon cancer.
