Weather improves for the weekend but ice risk remains

Despite the weather improving for weekend and all next week the ice risk more so tonight and in the morning remains.

Many back roads and paths are very slippery and will become even worse as the temperature drops this evening and over night.

We contacted One Trafford about gritting the back roads and the paths however we have had no response.

Although some cyclists were seen bravely cycling we suggest not to be doing this as the melting snow turns to ice this evening and overnight, get off your bike and walk to a main road where it will be gritted.

At this time Washway Road and Manchester Road in Broadheath are gritted, we are aware all the big roads in Trafford have been treated also,
