Police closed off Manchester Road in Partington last night after a serious collision involving a bus.

The crash happened at around 7pm near to the railway bridge between a bus and a car, the section of road was closed both ways for hours after the collision.

Police tell us that no one was injured in the crash.

An investigation as to why the bus and the car crashed is currently underway.

Manchester Road was reopened in the early hours of this morning 31 January.
