Before United’s game yesterday the first of two Munich remembrance events took place at Old Trafford to remember all those that died in Munich.
On 6 February 2023 the most important day for Man United fans and fans from other clubs national and international when at 3.04pm on 6 February 1958 disaster struck, before then United had beaten Red Star Belgrade in the European Cup.
On the return from the game the aircraft had to re-fuel at Munich Airport, with all the players on board, team staff, and journalists they set off down the runway on what was a snowy day, the runway was not treated as well as they are today and the aircraft crashed.
Many of the Manchester United players died in the crash and some of those that survived died whilst in hospital, United staff and journalists also died along with a Manchester City player Frank Swift.
Rest in Peace to all that died in one of the worst incidents to hit football in our country, all those that died named:

The flowers of Manchester, in the hearts and minds of all Manchester United fans young and old, and for all those that died they will never be forgotten.
Tomorrow 6 Feb at 2.48pm the event to remember those that died begins and you can see the full programme which is below, the event is completely free, we suggest to be bringing a warm coat as weather forecasters are saying it will be very cold for the next few days.
