Police shut down Ashton Lane in Sale after a serious car collision

Emergency services responded at around 9.30pm last night (11 Feb) following reports of a serious collision between it is believed two cars on Ashton Lane in Sale.

The road was closed and at the time of publishing this remains the case.

People reported on social media witnessing many police and fire engines including ambulances racing north bound on the A56 in Sale.

Firefighters were at the scene and they have confirmed that a collision occurred on Ashton Lane and one person had to be cut out of one of the vehicles and is now in hospital.

An investigation will now be underway as to how this collision occurred.
