Early this morning (7 March) Police with the assistance from the neighbourhood Crime Unit conducted a warrant on a property in Timperley.
The warrant turned out to be a good result with a cannabis farm being found which included Class A drugs.
Along with the find police were horrified to see a dangerous electrical extension lead that powered the lighting system for the cannabis to grow, due to the extensive current being drawn from bypassed electrics at the property the extension lead was in a bad condition and could have resulted in a house fire.
Police also found that the property also housed 4 young children!
A man was arrested for cultivation of cannabis, possession of Class A drugs and abstracting electricity.
A safeguarding report was mad and the housing group informed, the property has now been made safe and enquires are ongoing.
