Government to test new emergency alert to every mobile phone in UK

A nationwide emergency alert test will be carried out by the government soon on every mobile phone in use in the UK.

The alert is being tested on April 23 and will last no more than 10 seconds, when fully operational the alert will sound when something bad might happen such as flooding or other potentially life threatening situations in your neck of the woods.

Two tests have already been done both in 2021.

Although some people may get worried it is actually a really good thing giving you advanced warnings which will give you time to get prepared for whatever the emergency is.

We all felt the heat of last summer and the flooding of the autumn and winter, these events will only increase due to the earth becoming warmer.

In the near future due to the seas becoming warmer around the UK we could see more tornadoes which are obviously very dangerous, tornadoes do touch down in the UK although rare! this type of weather event could be more common in the UK in the near future.
