Police arrested a 36-year-old man from Carrington after a dog attack on a girl aged 6 that occurred at around 2.40pm on Sunday 26 March 2023.

In all 3 people were arrested the other two have been released on bail and the 36-year-old man arrested on suspicion of offences under Section 3 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and perverting the course of justice, and he remains in custody for questioning.

The girl it seems was attacked on the legs and despite the bravery of residents who tried to help the girl she was treated at the scene and sent to hospital where she is in a stable condition.

Police have now seized 17 dogs including puppies and they were given to specialist police partners.
