Pop group S Club 7 star Paul Cattermole has unexpectedly died aged 46

The singer who was to join up with other band members for a reunion tour in October was found dead at hi s home in Cornwall on 6 April 2023.

A spokesperson for the band said on Twitter: “We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time.”

It is currently unknown why he died however it is believed there were no suspicious circumstances.

S Club 7 had just weeks ago reformed and the release of a new album and songs before embarking on a huge world wide tour which was to kick off in October.

S Club 7 was formed in the late 1990’s and rose to fame via a programme called ‘Miami 7’ the band members are Hannnah Spearitt, Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Jo O’Meara, Bradley Mcintosh, Rachel Stevens and Paul Cattermole.

The group had big success with songs ‘Never had a dream come true’ and Don’t stop moving which went into the number one spot in the UK charts.

They won the ‘British breakthrough act’ at the Brit Awards and nominated for best British pop act and British Pop newcomer award, the band was also nominated for best MTV/EMA: UK and Ireland pop band and won the best British single award from Brit Awards in 2002 for the song ‘Don’t stop movin’
