Austrailian born convicted Peado and ex-entertainer Rolf Harris has died aged 93.
Rolf Harris was an entertainer and a musician and lived in Berkshire for much of his life, he first stated out life making music and released songs such as “Tie me kangaroo down sport” and “Two little boys” which went to the number 1 spot in the UK.
Harris became a successful television personality presenting TV shows such as “Rolf’s cartoon club” and “Animal hospital” in 1985 and appeared in many shoes including “This is your life” twice! and “Antiques Roadshow”
As the Jimmy Saville sexual abuse scandal news broke in 2012 Rolf Harris was arrested for allegations of historic sex crimes, Harris denied it all and was released without charge, however was rearrested a few months later and charged with indecent assault on two teenage girls in the early 1980’s and allegedly having indecent child images, police later found many adult sexual images on his computer.
The following year 2014 he was sentenced to over five years behind bars, he was stripped of all honours and achievements he gained whilst he was a pesonality.
Harris died at his home of neck cancer on 10 May 2023 and information released today 23 May 2023.
