Carrington Parish Council have objected to a proposed 15 metre 5G mast at the corner of Manchester Road and Kinders Close.

The Parish Council objected to the proposed installation on siting and appearance and paragraph 115 of the NPPF (National Planning Policy Framework which states that ‘Where new sites are required equipment should be sympathetically designed and camouflaged where appropriate’

The mast comes with an ICNIRP (International Commission on Non-Ionising Radiation Protection) certificate which Trafford Planning Committee and councillors seems to believe is for safety however looking on the ICNIRP website it clearly states that “ICNIRP does not issue certificates to verify safety of any device or installation” the certificate that came with the application says “Is designed to be in full compliance with the requirements of the radio frequency public exposure guidelines of the International Commission on Non-Ionising Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) 1 as expressed in EU Council Recommendation 1999/519/EC of 12 July 1999 on the limitations of exposure of the general public to electromagnetic fields (0 Hz to 300GHz)

Exposure is set at just 6 minutes!

Having a 5G mast so close to people will cause not only siting issues but TV signal and possibly other mobile phone signal interference and health issues.

The 5G mast opposite Isherwood Road was approved recently, although not good this is not located as close to people

It is expected more people will object to this mast and if you are concerned or need more information on how to object you should join the Trafford residents against 5G group on Facebook.

You can also read all the documents on the application in full by entering 111130 into Trafford Planning Search.
