Juvrajvir Singh, a Logistics Commodity Manager, was able to buy his dream home much sooner than planned thanks to a generous deposit contribution offered by local homebuilder, Miller Homes, on its Varsity Quarter development in Northenden.
Many are under the impression that the house buying process is lengthy and tiresome, but that was not the case for Juvrajvir, who went from the first viewing to collecting the keys in under three and a half months, counting himself as “very lucky”. In particular, he comments on how he enjoyed “regular updates, meetings and site visits” from the sales team at Miller Homes, an award-winning builder that has been operating across England and Scotland for over 85 years.
The 40-year-old lives with his wife and 2 children in a 4-bedroom Burnett house type on the new Varsity Quarter estate, which has transformed the old Manchester College site into 282 sustainable new homes. When asked about his choice of home, Juvrajvir said the generous room sizes was the deciding factor for him.
As is expected by many, to save up for a home on the outskirts of the city centre, being savvy with money is a ‘must’. Juvrajvir put funds asides monthly for just over a year to work towards the deposit, which was much more affordable thanks to the deposit offer being run by Miller Homes at the time.
Commenting originally that “builder reputation” was one of the most important things when looking for a new home, the buyer said that he would “absolutely” recommend Miller Homes to friends and family and found the process and experience with the builder delightful.
Reviving the tired Manchester College city campus as it relocates to new grounds, Miller Homes has set out to build a fresh, welcoming neighbourhood at Varsity Quarter where a sense of togetherness and ethnic belonging is a must. Juvrajvir noted that the “community angle was one of the attractions” to the development initially, as well as the close proximity to both Sale and Manchester City Centre. He added: “we are acquainted with our neighbours and not only next door but with others in the community as well. That was one of the reasons we went for a newly built house as you can develop a community with all new families that move into the society. You don’t get that option in mature house localities.”
With the purchase going through so seamlessly, Juvrajvir was asked what’s next for him and his family. Decorating!” It’s still going on and will take a good couple of months. Though it’s a bit stressful, you do enjoy it as well” he said.
Miller Homes’ Varsity Quarter development launched earlier this year and the sales centre, along with three show homes, are available to visit with no appointment necessary. Several incentives are offered by the homebuilder for buyers, and these can be discussed with the Sales Managers on site.
