The 5 man crew of Titan Submersible some from the UK to see the Titanic wreck have sadly died.

The Submersible lost contact Sunday evening UK time and a international rescue got underway to find the submersible however found it very difficult due to the location and how deep the craft

A ROV (Remote operated vehicle) from the vessel Horizon arctic discovered the tail cone of the Titan submersible approximately 1600ft from the Titanic wreck on the sea floor, the ROV also found 3 debris sites and one of these debris sites which experts say is consistent with a catastrophic loss of the pressure chamber.

Once it was known what happened the US Coastguard immediately notified the families and everyone send condolences to the families and close friends at this difficult time.

On board was British businessman Hamish Harding; Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his teenage son, Suleman; French explorer Paul-Henri Nargeolet; and Stockton Rush, CEO of OceanGate, the firm that operates the vessel.

The recovery of the five people on board this submersible will be very difficult although the ROV is still searching and also trying to gain more information on exactly how the pressure chamber imploded.

It is likely that expeditions to see the Titanic will stop for a while or maybe forever after this disaster.

It has been said though “How comes it took so long for this ROV to be deployed” a very good question as had they deployed it earlier before the implosion things would have been very different.

The submersible was badly designed from the outset with only XBox controllers navigating the submersible!
