A Cathay Pacific Boeing 777 ( CX-880) with 292 passengers and 17 crew on route from Hong Kong international Airport to Los Angeles was taking off at high speed then suddenly the flight crew aborted.
Once the aircraft stopped on the Apron it was found three tyres had blown, the decision was then made to evacuate the aircraft resulting in 11 injuries.
The aircraft aborted the take off due to technical issues according to the airline, some passengers though have claimed that the tyres deflated when they came to a stop on the Apron.
Aviation fans are questioning why the decision was made to evacuate passengers and crew down the emergency slides rather than evacuating down stairs which would have meant no one would have been injured.
