Police tape off a walkway in Partington after a serious incident at a property

Police have taped off May Walk in Partington following what is believed to be a suicide at a property in the early hours of 23 July 2023

A resident at the scene spoke to Police who confirmed that a male had sadly committed suicide although this has not been confirmed, the officer mentioned he died from inhaling something, with Cadent gas seen at the property it is possible the individual may have used gas to harm himself which if the officer is accurate was incredibly dangerous to others.

Whilst we have this information we remain open as to what happened and we await a statement from police.

The fire service attended to make sure the three properties to the left of May Walk seen in the picture were safe, an ambulance was also at the scene.

We have contacted GMP for more information on the incident.
