United Utilities rushed to the Stretford and Old Trafford areas of Trafford today following several big water pipes burst meaning many people had no water today.
Following reports engineers came out in force to pump in gallons of fresh water into the pipes so people had some supply whilst also finding the burst mains and to fix them.
The latest information is that United Utilities are still where they need to be and issued the latest update at 8.16pm
“The repairs are still ongoing, we apologise for any inconvenience this is causing. Our team are on site and making progress. In the meantime customers should still have supply but this may fluctuate during peak times. Thank you for your continued patience.”
It might be a good idea to have some bottles of water either bought or use filtered tap water and fill up some bottles and store in the fridge just in case you drink tea or coffee in the morning.
