Police responded quickly after reports of a woman being badly injured in Altrincham at around 7pm on 6 July 2023.
The woman was riding her horse in a field near the Woodhouse Lane Waste and Recycling Centre in an area called The Moss.
Two males have approached the woman, before letting their dog, (believed to be a Pit bull) off its lead.
The dog chased the horse, causing the rider to fall off at high speed, and resulting in life-changing injuries. The two males then left the area.
Police have now released a photo of two people who they would like to speak to, as the pair may be able to help with their enquiries.
PC Lee, from GMP’s Trafford district, said: “This was a very frightening incident for the rider, who was hurt as a result of the dog running towards her.”We are currently looking into all relevant lines of enquiry, and I would ask anyone who knows anything to please get in touch.”
