Emergency services raced to the high rise flats on Chapel Lane in Stretford after a man was found with serious injuries at around 9pm last night (Aug 26)

It is currently believed the man in his 40’s has fallen from the flats although police are investigating they are saying his death was not being treated as suspicious and no one else was involved.

Stretford House is 250ft tall and has 23 floors and was built in 1968.

In a statement police said:

“Officers are investigating after the man, believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“It is not currently believed that anyone else is involved in the incident and there is currently a scene and police officers at the location.

“The investigation is ongoing.”
