The former B&Q on Greatstone Road in Stretford that has been empty since 2016 and will soon be demolished.
Once it is levelled Trafford Council who now owns the land will use the space for a housing development.
Workmen have also identified asbestos in the building and it will need to be demolished for health and safety reasons.
The demolition is expected to take place on September 18 although workmen are fully aware of the amount of asbestos that is in the former store we still suggest to people living close by to shut your windows for a while that day just for added protection.
