JD Sports set to move into where Argos used to be at Altrincham Retail Park

The gaping hole you might have seen where Argos once used to operate from at Altrincham Retail Park is the construction of a new JD Sports store.

Looking at the application seen we can reveal that the new store will be JD Sports and not Plant Zone as was first thought.

Many people will remember the friendly rivalry of JJB Sports and Sports Direct a long time ago and now we have another battle of the sports shops, this of course is really good for everyone and will drive prices down at both stores.

JD Sports though are much different than JJB Sports though and has a lot of credibility on the high street with big brand names in sports and fashion.

The construction is in its early phase and we can only give an estimate of an opening date and that would be around November or early 2024.
