A medication widely used by patients with ADHD called Atomoxetine is now unavailable following a national and world wide shortage.

Private firm ADHD360 pushed out an email to patients today telling those that are on the medication that they have tried hard to get stock but could not find any and could not provide any further information as to when the medication will be available again.

According to ADHD360 the clinician will be aware and will discuss more during the next appointment and will more than likely put patients on something similar

For patients who are in shared care they recommend you to contact your GP who might be able to adjust your prescription to liquid Atomoxetine which is still available and may serve as a suitable alternative if everything else does not.

Atomoxetine is different to all the other drugs as its not a stimulant but can cause some bad side effects according to our own research this drug can cause suicide in certain age groups and other nasty side effects.

People that have been on the medication a while should be good with the medication and should be working well for them so having this news that the medication can no longer be found unless you speak to your GP for the liquid version.
