Bus driver knocks down elderly man aged 93 in Stretford

Greater Manchester Police collision investigators were called to a road traffic collision occurred on Barton Road, in Stretford, at 10.35am on Wednesday 4 October 2023 an update was given today 6 October 2023.

The road was sealed off for a time whilst paramedics helped the badly injured man and then for the police investigators to figure out how the collision happened.

The 27-year-old male bus driver hit a pedestrian, a 93-year-old man, causing serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Following a roadside drugs test the bus driver was taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
