Heads up: Moss Lane in Partington will be closed

According to GM Roadworks Moss Lane/Covershaw Lane just out of Partington is to be closed tomorrow for one day.

The work which is just over the small bridge over Sinderland Brook is likely to be both resurfacing and vegetation clearance.

At the time of publishing we are not aware of the time of the closure however because of where the work is scheduled to be the 247 service to and from Altrincham is unaffected and diversions will be in place for all traffic to go the same way until work is completed.

Despite a couple of big resurfacing work being carried out on Sinderland Lane more work is needed just after Darker Lane half way east bound and just after a farm house where the road straightens heading towards the church.

Vegetation also is still an issue more so at the little bridge that goes over Sinderland Brook where Partington bound traffic cannot see vehicles and cycles coming the other way which is dangerous.

We will update this article with the time of road closure when more is known.
