Sinderland Brook that goes very close to Partington is now on flood alert and water is rising and will continue to rise during the day.

The level marker for a flood alert is 0.80m and at the time of publishing it is 0.88m which means water from the brook will escape into fields around the brook and on to Covershawe Lane.

Water levels on the River Mersey through Trafford are also increasing although not at risk of flooding at this time.

The good news though is that according to weather experts it will soon dry up and its expected to be dry but cloudy on Saturday and sunny intervals on Sunday.

We will continue to update this page with water level information.
