Former Tory councillor and now Bucklow St Martins by-election candidate Paul Lally has stated that he would try and bring Metrolink to Partington if he wins on 2 November.

We feel this along with other ideas for the area will enhance Paul Lally’s chances of winning the by-election and already he has some support for his ideas in the community.
Opening up this rail corridor again though will need millions of pounds to not only clear the line but to lift existing lines and relay them and to rebuild stations and platforms, the other question would be how to get the line to connect to Altrincham.
Partington also needs more shops more so a huge supermarket like an Aldi or a Lidl either of these stores would be ideal for Partington and some candidates are working out ways of bringing either one to the area but this would have to be nearer the centre, of course the issues will be where to build one as space is limited, candidates interested will also likely to be looking at how Oak Road shopping area could be rebuilt.
We are glad to say that both are expanding and fingers crossed with the help of candidates more so Paul Lally as he has told us he is committed to Buckow St Martins win or lose which for us is a winner, it shows he cares about the area and of course with his experience can change things for the better.
All candidates though have a great chance in the by-election and we wish them all the best.
