Police have closed off Manchester Road at the junction of Viaduct Road in Altrincham after a two car collision at around 4.30pm on 21 October 2023.

It is currently unknown if anyone was badly injured.

Both cars were badly damaged in the crash with the smaller light brown car (pictured) being worse affected with the entire front smashed up the other car had damage to its front right handside.

Police will be at the scene for sometime which means the road will be closed, those coming south bound towards Altrincham are being diverted down Viaduct Road into the Halfords car park.

George Richards Way is also closed at the time of publishing, due to the crash we expect buses to also divert down Atlantic Street on to George Richards Way then turn right down Craven Road turning left for the 247 and others turning right back on to Manchester Road A56.
