Following the heavy rains last week Trafford MV welcomed Tyldesley to the pumpkin patch that was the pitch, the wet ground cut up pretty quickly.
Trafford MV went into the game defending their league leaders position and also an undefeated start to the season having won 5 and drawn 1 game.
Trafford opened in confident fashion and early possession and good driving play brought tries for Trafford by Micah Dyos, Craig Collier and Danny Burke, all conveted by Pat Eccles for a 21- 0 lead.
Tyldesley came back with an unconverted try of their own which was negated when Craig Collier struck again from his position as hooker. Tyldesley were struggling to keep up with Trafford but did manage to respond with a converted try to get back at 26-12. This was to be Tyldesley’s last contribution to the scoreboard despite continuing to put up a spirited game.
Trafford MV built on their performance and added to their bundle of scores with additional tries from Micah Dyos, Pat Eccles and flying winger Josh Salmon. Pat Eccles had a final haul of 5 conversions plus a penalty on top of his try for a tally of 18 points in the game. Final score in the game was a convincing 48 – 12 to Trafford MV.
Front row prop Connor Monaghan was named player of the match and captain Danny Burke was spooked when he was also nominated for an award by the players !!! Trafford maintain their league leaders position and they have now gone a total of 18 games unbeaten and are proving to be a strong squad.
There is no game this weekend as the Rugby World Cup looms large over the sport. Traffords next game will be at home on Nov 4th with Liverpool Collegiate the opposition for a 2.15pm kick off.

The Club will be showing both of this weekends Rugby World Cup games in their welcoming clubhouse.
Both games kick off at 8.00pm with England vs Argentina in the Bronze medal play off on Friday evening. On Saturday evening we will celebrate all that is great in Rugby Union as South African Springboks take on the New Zealand All Blacks in what promises to be an epic Rugby World Cup 2023 Final.
