Mustard Tree an organisation dedicated to “combating and preventing poverty, inequality, and homelessness across Greater Manchester” has received a large donation of toys from homebuilder Miller Homes.

It comes following an ongoing partnership between the builder and the charity, after Miller Homes supported Mustard Tree’s Christmas selection box appeal last year and maintains a relationship with the local community whilst bringing new homes to Greater Manchester at Varsity Quarter.

This year, Mustard Tree are calling for donations from their winter wishlist, which includes tinned and Christmas food, children’s toys and games, festive decorations, stocking filler gifts, and warm clothing. Contributions will go towards helping families in need in and around Manchester. Those looking to support the charity can drop small donations off at the hub on Oldham Road or can arrange larger donations by contacting the team on information@mustardtree.org.uk.

Miller Homes is currently in the process of supporting a number of groups and charities across the North West for Christmas, understanding that hard times can befall many this time of year. In the next few weeks, the lucky recipients of the homebuilder’s national Community Fund will be announced too.

Caesar Gebremedhin, Fundraising Officer at Mustard Tree said: “We’re once again very grateful for Miller Homes’ support, they’ve really ramped it up this year donating loads of toys and games that our clients will love and appreciate!”

Clare Noakes, Sales Director for Miller Homes in the North West added: “It’s been a pleasure to support Mustard Tree again, we love what they do and are dedicated to helping out the Greater Manchester community where we can whilst we’re situated at Varsity Quarter (and even after we’ve moved on).”

Miller Homes’ Varsity Quarter development is situated in Northenden and more can be found online, where you can also register your interest in the homes: https://www.millerhomes.co.uk/new-homes/north-west/varsity-quarter-northenden.aspx/ To find out more about Mustard Tree’s winter wishlist, get in touch via their website.
