A 32-year-old man has been charged after police officers responded to reports of a hate crime against a 42-year-old woman in Old Trafford on Tuesday 28 November 2023.

Christopher Krukowski of Rushmere Walk, Old Trafford was charged with a racially aggravated public order.

According to the sentencing council and just for reference depending on the severity of the hate crime the most he will get is around two years behind bars.

He was remanded into custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today (Thursday 30 November 2023).

Inspector Scott Wolstenholme of GMP’s Trafford North Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Greater Manchester Police continues to affirm our commitment to safeguarding the rights and dignity of every individual in all of our communities.

“We remain clear that racism has no place in Greater Manchester, we will not tolerate discrimination in any form. We continue to provide support and reassurance to the public to ensure people feel safe.”
