Police got calls about a woman in a distressed state at around 9pm last night on Ashley Road, an ambulance was also called.
According to MEN (Manchester Evening News) the woman had died! however a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed with us today that “A Person spotted a female who was in a distressed state. No crime or harm identified.”
We have no reports of the road being taped off and gratefully it is expected the woman is recovering and getting the support she needs.
Although we do not know the reasons or what the cause was we can say more people will get distressed in the run up and after the Christmas and New Year as things get more desperate for a lot of people trying to put food on the table or gifts for there kids.
