The Urmston Masonic Hall will host a donation drop in support of The Forget Me Not Trust’s Christmas assistance campaign for disadvantaged local families on December 16th between 9am and 12pm

Urmston Freemasons have partnered with The Forget Me Not Trust in hopes of making this Christmas season a bit brighter for those families facing hardships across our community. Donations of non-perishable food items, new children’s toys, gift vouchers, and more will be collected at the Urmston Masonic Hall where The Forget Me Not Trust will later distribute items directly to families identified as needing some extra cheer this holiday.

Last year The Trust provided aid to over 250 households encompassing nearly 1,000 individuals, ensuring hundreds of children received gifts during an otherwise difficult time of year. Between pandemic recovery and today’s economy the need remains immense, making community donations imperative to achieving the Trust’s season goals.

“No parent should have to make impossible choices between keeping food on the table or wrapping modest gifts for their little ones,” said Ezra McGowan of The Forget Me Not Trust. “We must aid our neighbours when they need it most. We encourage everyone capable to please donate what items or funds you can this Saturday the 16th at Urmston Masonic Hall 1881 Building on Westbourne Road in Urmston.”

In addition to food and new toy donations, representatives from The Trust will be on-site accepting monetary and gift voucher contributions from those wishing to give. Join us at the Urmston Masonic Hall on Saturday 16th December morning and afternoon to make the Christmas holidays a little happier for those struggling locally.
