Due to a lack of funding and staffing issues Mental Health services in Greater Manchester more so here in Trafford are hanging by a thread.
This puts serious pressure on GP’s who have limited options other than to refer people to primary care services such as Talking Therapies (something the Government copied from America!) they have so many people wanting help it will take you over a year to get to see someone.
What is left for some of the most vulnerable people at Christmas and New Year, the time where there is more stress of these people, this is where we can help with a guide on what to do in a crisis.

You can go to Trafford General A&E to see the mental health crisis team up to 8pm every day although your wait might be affected depending on what day you come along.
People with severe mental health issues should be in secondary care, however we are aware for many people this is no longer possible, its a national scandal that the government are getting away with, at this time though fortunately their is a little something out there for everyone so reach out.
