Police arrest 5 juvenile males on suspicion of armed robbery at Cornbrook Metrolink Station

Police responded to calls about a knife point robbery at Cornbrook Metrolink Station during the evening of 21 December 2023.

Officers from GMP Transport Unit conducted an extensive search of the area along with CCTV enquiries resulted in five juveniles being identified and a short time later were arrested at Firswood on suspicion of robbery and possession of an offensive weapon and suspected stolen property and more offensive weapons were seized.

A GMP spokesperson said: “Our team work night and day across Greater Manchester’s Transport System targeting anyone involved in criminality and working hard to keep you safe.”
