United fans delight then horror as the A56 and the turn off on M60 is closed

Whilst Manchester United won in some style more so in the second half tonight sadly the delight of the fans will have turned to horror due to road closures in Stretford.

We watched the closure notices spring up on Google Maps that started just before the M60 turn off at Stretford this then spread further under the motorway bridge and all the way to Dane Road,

At the time of publishing the Sale turn off of the M60 on to Cross Street has also been closed.

No information is available as to why the work is being carried out, we expect it was for essential reasons.

Looking now all roads around Old Trafford stadium are showing up as rammed and expected because of the road closures people will have a long wait.

We can now confirm all cordons have now been lifted.
