Police officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision between a motor vehicle and a cyclist in Stretford on 26 December at around 3.45pm.
A motorist driving a Renault Scenic collided with a cyclist who were both travelling on Chester Road, near to the entry slip road to the M60.
Emergency services attended and the cyclist, a 46-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious and potentially life-changing injuries.
No arrests have been made.
Officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident – or may have dashcam or CCTV footage – to please share it with officers in GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
