Weather forecasters predicted the snow would fall in Manchester today however his has now passed and it is expected rain will fall later on this evening (16 Jan) and for a while during the morning.
The weather will remain cold but dry until the weekend more so on Sunday when a storm moves in from the Atlantic with a huge amount of very heavy rain and gusty winds according to WX weather charts
Looking at the charts it seems the bad weather will come in during the evening or overnight on Sunday, next Monday and Tuesday remains dry although rain is expected on Wednesday morning for a time before becoming dry again.
Looking further on no snow is predicted although with the weather being all over the place at the moment we wouldn’t throw away the snow boots just yet! we are still in winter after all.
Wet weather means nothing to people these days with the latest technologies such as Gore-Tex and own branded rain systems such as North Face dryvent, Berghaus Hydroshell, Sprayway Hydro-dry and more keeping the user dry.
You can get some good jackets on a budget also however as you would expect the fabric will be waterproof for a shorter time and breathability will be poor meaning you will get soaked before the rain gets in.
For footwear always buy Gore-Tex, you can buy trainers these days with a Gore-Tex inner that will keep you dry, you can also buy really good trainers and boots from Adidas called Terrex which we fully recommend for being waterproof and comfort.
On a budget Karrimor offers some good trainers and boots at a reasonable price.
