Driving test examiners to go on strike in February

Around 2000 examiners will go on strike for 4 days next month at over 250 test centres around the UK.

The strike will be from 8 to 11 February 2024 which will mean anyone going for a driving test from 8-11 Feb the Government are telling people who do have a test to continue thinking your booking will still happen as not all Driving test examiners are members of PCS union, you can though reschedule by clicking this link

Strike action is due to a huge backlog of tests, managers and admin staff in DVSA have been called back to carry out driving tests full time which examiners believe could pose a risk to them and the customers with according to the union could be as much as 150k which goes against the terms and conditions.

Driving test waiting times have been clearly not acceptable and this strike will further delay testing for new potential drivers.
