An SAS flight from Oslo ‘Flight SK4609’ was intercepted by two RAF Typhoons as it entered UK airspace from the North Sea this afternoon (5 February 2024) and was escorted from the North East to Manchester Airport.

One of the typhoons was seen just behind the flight that touched down at Manchester and went unassisted to the terminal, soon after though many police and fire engines was seen following behind it.

The aircraft lost communications and as a normal procedure RAF will intercept an airliner to find out what is going on and will blow it out of the sky if its of any threat to the UK.

A YouTube channel called Think Planes was recording live when the Typhoon went over heading west bound and through the clouds.
