Lots of people had a shock a few days ago when an email from Amazon said that the Ring Doorbell camera’s basic plan is to increase by a massive 42% over the year.
The basic plan now for the Ring Doorbell CCTV camera is £34.99 but from 11 March 2024 its to go up to £49.99 a year and people are not happy.
However when you look at the increase month by month its only £1.51 extra.
On social media we have read many people are going to be dumping the camera and looking for something cheaper or even an outdoor camera that does not need a subscription.
The doorbell camera is used by many people in the UK to secure their property although has some limitations, for example some people know how to bypass the camera or stop it from working as it uses WiFi which is not as secure as some people may think which is why we think Amazon should have also included a cellular connection if the WiFi drops out.
You can unsubscribe from Ring Protect and still be able to see live footage however nothing will be saved and as a result you will not be able to review any footage which makes it useless when you are sleeping our out of your home.
