A leading wildlife charity has conducted a survey to see where all the dangerous animals are being kept in the UK this list includes Manchester and Cheshire.

All the animals listed in the places below have licences to keep these dangerous animals although the charity says that local authorities not listed could mean dangerous animals being kept have no licence and that could include Trafford.

Salford:

Cheshire East:

  • Cheetah x 2
  • Dwarf Caiman

Cheshire West and Chester

Meanwhile in Warrington the survey suggested that a Savannah Cat and two Serval are in the area although as mentioned all have been licenced.

Going further north in Durham they have 40 North American Plains Bison in the area, we have no data to suggest any dangerous animals live in Trafford however it might be they do and because they could be unlicenced might pose a threat to themselves and others.

Keeping dangerous animals is illegal if you do not have a licence, there is a short list of animals that can be kept and to get the licence you will need to have the ability to look after them and in the right conditions.
